For one thing, that’s 5 moves (Sunny Day and Morning Sun are two separate moves), and for another thing, unless you’re running a fire team, that would be kinda pointless. Sunny Day isn’t really worth the turn it takes to use, because you will generally end up having to use Morning Sun next turn (and thus, every turn afterwards) to heal and keep from fainting. If you’re looking to increase it’s longevity, i would give it something like rest, or double team, or something like that, or i would just keep future sight, so you can actually injure dark and steel types. Otherwise, you’re other 3 moves are just fine.

I need a new and good Gengar moveset for Platinum?
So, when I had a file on Diamond, I had a Gengar with Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Shadow Ball, and Dark Pulse and it was pretty powerful. Well, now on Platinum, since they lowered the accuracy of Hypnosis more, I can’t do the Hypnosis+Dream Eater combo well. Is this a good moveset for Platinum?

My Haunter knows Shadow Ball, Shadow Punch, Pay Back and Sucker Punch. It’s actually an AWESOME move set to have if you prefere Easy Wins and Owning ALMOST any weak enough Pokemon Type in the game. (By weak enough I mean, well, say your Pokemon was level 52 and YOU are fighting a level 100 Pokemon! Ya, A Pokemon that’s way higher leveled would own you BIG TIME even with this move set.) Sucker Punch is a little hard to use and figure out so, try it when an enemy is using a move like Bide or, something. I think that’s what it says about the move. It’ pretty confusing. Payback is doubled in attack power if your opponent attacks first this turn (Revenge does the same thing.) and Payback is usually used right after your opponent’s attack this turn so, ya, it’s a pretty cool move and even a last resort from a certain point of view. You usually attack last this turn and a Payback doubled in power is the last move needed to win but, you’re low on HP too. and your enemy strikes first when you’re both on your last Pokemon, it’s a last resort. Shadow punch doesn’t have any Specual Property other than being one tough Ghost Type move and it’s the same with Shadow ball. Hope this helps. BYE!!!

My Gengar gas this moveset and it always works out:

Shadow Ball- good for STAB and covers psychic and ghost weaknesses

Sludge Bomb- another good STAB move

Confuse Ray- just a very useful move

Focus Blast- a fighting-type move so it covers weakness to dark types and is a very powerful special attacking move, which works out for Gengar since his special attack is better than his physical attack

By the way, STAB stands for Same Type Attack Bonus in case you didn’t know, which means when he uses attacks that have the same type as him, they get a boost in power. These are pretty solid moves, the only problem that might arise being Focus Blast’s fairly low accuracy of 70%, but it shouldn’t be that much of a problem. Hope this helps!
