   Occult & Sin- that is a very complex subject and has a very deep and dark history in how the ‘occult’ came to be a ‘sin’
   You are not going against god by seeing a psychic or reading tarot.

   ‘Psychic’ is something that the people in power did not want a common person to have access to, therefor they called it a sin, and it has been used to brainwash people over the centuries.
   There are a lot of good messages in the Bible, but you have to be aware that much of the Bible has been mis-translated, re-written and things have also been omitted from the Bible.
   Early Christians, before there was a ‘group label’, practiced magic. This gave ‘power’ to the common people and those in elite positions of political control do not want the common man to have this.
   Jesus was a psychic, and so am and so are you, that is a simple fact that many do not want to accept. The reason why we do not all have strong psychic abilities is because we have been told that they are a sin or don’t exist.

   Tarot came into being around the 1400′s and one of the first decks was commissioned by a Monk. In fact there have been decks used by many a religious person.
   There are very old churches and temples that have the Zodiac (astrology) as a mosiac upon their floors. If these things are a sin, whey would they have it in the sacred buildings?
   The people who followed the word of Christ had to go ‘underground’ for their own safty, much of communication was done by way of symbology so that the enemy would be none the wiser.
   Dispite what many Christians would say, Tarot and psychic is not a sin, but is a manner in which other’s can use to ‘communicate’ with god. I know several Christians who are true in their faith in that they do not judge and they are kind to all, AND….read tarot.
   It is my belief that everyone has their own path to god, and that path is not always the same for all.

   Well, there is nothing evil about tarot cards, or even anything occult. Tarot cards are, in fact, playing cards!

   They were created in the mid 15th century, commissioned by the Duke of Milan for the celebrations for his daughter, Bianca Visconti’s marriage into the Sforza family. A set of picture cards was added to the regular Latin suited game pack of the time. These extra cards took as their theme, not an occult philosophy, or any magical symbols but a traditional Christian triumph procession. Hence they were called trionfi, meaning triumphs, and from which we get our word trump – it was the invention of tarot that marked the introduction of trumps into card games! Some historians suspect that they specifically represent the triumph procession held to celebrate Bianca’s birth in 1425, which certainly seems fitting.

   Contrary to common myth, the church never objected to tarot cards, they recognized them as being both Christian and for card games. While out of context of their time and culture, many images, such as a Female Pope (historically used to represent things like Faith, or Church Law), seem exotic, mysterious and even heretical. However, they were all staples of Christian art of the time. For 350 years they were used for nothing but card games, at one time being the most popular form of card game throughout continental Europe. The games are still played with great popularity but in the English speaking world, most people have grown up with the occult myths that began in France toward the end of the 18th century.

   The point of all this is that divination with tarot cards is no different than divination with regular playing cards, dominos, tea leaves or knuckle bones. Do they scare you? They don’t scare me but I personally have difficulty taking them seriously – you must make up your own mind. I don’t think that 78 pieces of card know any more about the future than a packet of tea leaves and I suspect that you don’t either – so you must ask yourself, how credible do you think this woman is? Do you really think that she has special powers? If someone were to have special powers, I would expect those powers to speak for themselves, if someone needs theatrical trappings or manners, then right away, you’ve reason to doubt!

   Hello Mike

   Psychic fall under many religious umbrellas, including Christian Spiritualists, some psychics & tarot readers have a faith, others do not.

   Tarot in themselves are 78 pieces of laminated card, they hold no evil.

   A Psychic is someone who is a channel for spirit energy & of course as with us all are spirit themselves.

   Evil is a state of mind, a human concern. It has nothing to do with psychics or tarot cards.

   According to modern church tradition yes tarot readings are sinful. Psychic readings, I’m not sure. I’m not sure how dependable they are either.

   Many people claim to naturally have these gifts. Even if they are nonsense can they all be charged with being either deceived or “in league with the devil” or being fooled by demons? What about people in the Bible who could interpret dreams and such. Were they?

   And for information’s sake, the fact is that very early Christian scholars sometimes used tarot cards. Not for divination, but more for meditation and self analysis.

   So, I would say that in the modern Christian church, yes such things are a sin. But why, because the Bible said so? Why does it say so? Could it be because church officials “back in the day” were threatened by the idea of losing clientele to lay people doing things that they as priest were also doing, albeit in different ways?

   In the end it is up to you. If you truly feel bad about doing something then don’t do it. If you don’t accept such fears then study and think about what they mean then make your decision. Your behavior is up to you, not your friends or your pastor.

   those can be a gateway for demonic influence in your life. they will try and mislead you from the path that god has laid out before you. there is nothing of god in those types of things, only evil spirits. it is way more in depth than this but i’m tired. if you have any more questions or specifics just email me or something.

   I am a professional Tarot reader, and I can tell you with confidence that the Tarot is very valid. I’m speaking from many years of personal experience. I’m not the sort of person who believes in just anything. I believe in what I see to be true.

   It’s really something you need to discover for yourself. There are many, many psychics and Tarot readers out there, and not all of them truly understand what they are doing. In my experience, the Tarot is not a fortune telling tool, nor is it a fun hobby. It can be very fun and exciting, but the Tarot is a very subtle yet very powerful tool for studying the human mind.

   If I could tell you just one thing to remember about the Tarot, it would be that the Tarot is a tool for self discovery. It will not tell you the future. It will not tell you what you want to hear. It’s a form of counseling. It will point out to you , if you let it, what you are having trouble with and how you can make better decisions to improve your life.

   Ok… I’m going to tell you a few things here….

   I’m Wiccan and I’m a witch. I read tarot, see/experience ghosts, andI sometimes know the future (though usually only by a few minutes).

   Tarot is just a game. If you ask the same question more than once, you’ll get different answers every time. It only means as much as you put into it and it wouldn’t be a good idea to follow its advice.

   As for ghosts, I can’t convince you they exist because I have no proof so I won’t even try.

   The psychic…. any psychic who claims to always know the future every single time someone asks them is lying through their teeth. Some have the ability to know things in more detail, and more often, than others. But the truth is that its its not that exact a thing. It can’t be controlled and usually happens when least expected.

   Take everything said by any of those with a grain of salt because you never know whether what they’ve said is actually true, or a total lie. Sometimes it will be correct, other times, they couldn’t be further from the truth.

    True psychics exist but are quite rare and rarely practice openly. The ones you see advertising are often frauds, so getting a true reading is difficult unless you know the right people.
